Moultrie County Health Department Confirms Third COVID-19 Death

It is with our deepest sympathies that the Moultrie County Health Department (MCHD) confirms the third COVID-19 death of a Moultrie County female resident in her 90s.

“We send our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends in their time of grieving,” Angela Hogan, Administrator for the Moultrie County Health Department said. “As her family mourns their loss, we ask for their privacy. No additional information will be released.”

To date, 175 Moultrie County residents have tested positive for COVID-19 which includes three deaths. There have been 3,610 total COVID-19 tests administered.

As the number of cases continues to increase, the MCHD strongly advises individuals and businesses to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities by using these precautions:

  • Watch physical distance and keep six feet from others.
  • Wear a mask when in public places.
  • Wash hands
  • Above all, stay home if ill.
