Moultrie County Reports 23 Additional Cases for Week Ending Sept 4, 2020

SULLIVAN, IL, September 8, 2020

For the week ending September 4, 2020, the Moultrie County Health
Department (MCHD) has identified a total of 23 additional cases of COVID-19. The individuals range
from two to 70 years in age.

As of September 4, 2020, a total of 179 individuals tested positive for the virus which includes three
COVID-19-related deaths. A total of 21Moultrie County residents remain in isolation, three of whom
remain hospitalized.

As the number of cases continues to increase, the MCHD strongly advises individuals and businesses to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities by using these precautions:

  • Watch physical distance and keep six feet from others.
  • Wear a mask when in public places.
  • Wash hands
  • Above all, stay home if ill.
